Hello loves!!
How has your weekend been treating you so far? Mine has been fashionably fun and spent in the city that has my heart, Cincinnati.
Friday night my mom and I braved the rain and headed downtown to Fountain Square to attend Cincy Chic’s 6th Annual Bras with Flair event. I wish the night hadn’t been so cold and rainy so there would have been a great turn out in attendance. However, those of us true fashion fans braved the weather to look at all the decorated bras in support of breast cancer awareness and watch a great fashion show presenting some of the hottest finds from the local boutique Sara Benjamins.
After the fashion show mom and I headed over to Vie Vita to have a glass of wine and dinner and it was to. die. for. We shared their amazing lasagna that they only serve on Fridays.
Saturday I spent the evening taking in a good dose of high couture fashion and it left me breathless! I attended the CODE: Cincinnati Open Design Event CHASER at the beautifully historic Music Hall. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this event but I was more than pleased with the whole event! We saw collections from 4 amazing designers including Kristy Nguyen, Amy Kirchen, Althea Harper and Julie Durocher of Jovani. The evening was hosted by the lovely Jen Dalton.

My favorite designs were designs of the night came from Amy Kirchen and I absolutely died as Julie Durocher’s designs graced the runway in front of me! I wish the lighting during the show was softer so that the designs were more photogenic on my iPhone. The photos I did get don’t even begin to do the pieces justice.

Check out the video I took of the finale walk for the Julie Durocher of Jovani collection, Durocher herself leads the walk.
So what’s in store for my Sunday? Well, I plan on spending the whole day at home, watching reality shows sprinkled with a little football here and there. I also plan on putting on a pot of homemade cream cheese chili (it’s delicious!! Would you guys like the recipe?) and lots of relaxing and if a little bit of writing happens, that’s just icing on the cake!
What did you do this weekend?
xoxo,
Amy
