Hello loves!
Last week I was asked to attend a private fashion show for fashion designer Amy Kirchen at her boutique. Now we all know how much I just adore Amy as well as just about anything and everything she designs, so of course I jumped at this fabulous opportunity! The evening was Alice in Wonderland themed and started with a check-in at the boutique and then you were directed down the street to 20 Brix for cocktails and mingling. The complimentary cocktail of the night was a delicious blue concoction served in a round glass and called Into the Looking Glass. After a while we were all called back to the boutique where we nibbled on apps, mini cupcakes, sipping on champagne as we took in the atmosphere, browsed through the collections, and enjoyed the other fashion lovers’ company. Things got started with an introduction as well as a few words from UC physicians and then it was onto the show.
I really don’t think it’s possible for Amy to design something that doesn’t simply take my breath away. As every model emerged I turned to my blogger friend Kelly and exclaimed it was my favorite piece so far. During the night Amy showcased many couture gowns with debuts of her SS15 collection sprinkled in the mix. Everything was just divine. The clothing was made of blacks, golds, and nudes – which if you didn’t already know they’re the it colors of the season that will be overlapping far into 2015. Pieces that came down the runway were elegant, chic, sophisticated yet they all featured bit of a modern twist whether it was the way the fabric draped the body or the way it was cut and structured. Here are a few (okay… a lot of) photos I took during the event, click on them to get a closer view…
Which is your favorite look?Â
xoxo,
Amy
