DIY Wrinkle Cream

DIY Anti Wrinkle CreamHello loves,

As you know, I’ve been on a quest to a healthier me for quite a while now. Part of this journey for me is trying to avoid whenever possible putting chemicals and toxins in and on my body. I’ve recently gotten into using essential oils and I have fallen absolutely in love! They’re 100% natural as well as chemical and toxin free. And you can literally use them for everything! Seriously, I use them every day for everything from household cleaning to helping me sleep to cooking with them to replacing my whole medicine cabinet with essential oils. They’re literally that amazing!

As I get more into using all natural products I’ve been swapping out the old products I’ve been using for natural versions. One thing that I’ve tossed out is my old face moisturizer that was full of ingredients I don’t have the faintest clue how to pronounce. I traded that puppy in for a new and improved anti-wrinkle cream/moisturizer that I whipped up in my very own kitchen! Take that nasty chemicals!

Each of the ingredients in this wrinkle cream has its own benefits for skincare which include moisturizing, anti-aging, anti-bacterial, fights blemishes, and soothes skin. Not to mention these oils smell amazing together!! My skin just radiates now, I wish I would have gotten on this kick years ago!

Anti-Wrinkle Cream

1/4 c coconut oil
1/4 c raw organic Shea butter
1 1/2 tsp sweet almond oil
1/8 tsp vitamin e oil (this preserves it or it goes bad quickly)
20 drops frankincense
20 drops purification
10 drops lavender

diy wrinkle cream with essential oils

In a double broiler melt coconut, Shea, sweet almond, and vitamin e together. (I used a glass measuring cup in a pot of water then once melted poured into a small mixer bowl). Let cool for about 45mins and stir in essential oils. Let sit in a cool place for a few hours until it semi solidifies then whip with a hand mixer. Once whipped I spooned into a glass jar.

Will you be making your own wrinkle cream? What do you love to use essential oils for?

xoxo,
Amy
