You guys… this thyroid crap is the pits. Lord and I tired of busting my butt and eating super clean for minimal results. And bread. Oh, God. I. Miss. Bread.
After months of high protein and carbs for lifting weights and doing HIIT workouts I just burnt out. I’ve cut back on high intensity and lifting workouts. I’ve also decided to go low carb. Once I started low carb high fat (good fats) I finally (after a good two months) saw the scale move down. Hallelujah!
Low carb is hard. Like really hard. Especially for a carboholic. I didn’t realize how many carbs I ate. Let’s take a second to be clear, though – carbs are everywhere, but there are good carbs (fruits and veggies) and bad carbs (bread, pasta, alcohol – you know, all the good shit). The first week sucked. And by that I of course mean it sucked ass. The tiredness and headaches are awful. And then there’s constipation that NO ONE told me about. I mean it would have been nice if someone would have said, ” Hey girl. The bathroom. Just don’t even try because it’s not going to happen. Go grab yourself some cactus water and go on about your day. Seriously.” I mean, give a girl a heads up.
Now that you know me better than you ever wanted to… ha ha ha sorry… I have come across some recipes I’ve fallen in love with!
